Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Course A, the studio news presentation guide offered by anchorki. The guide provides structured training materials on anchor segments, camera framing, microphone setup, lighting balance and professional newsroom workflows. It is delivered as digital content including video modules, downloadable resources and interactive exercises. The policy covers transactions made through the website by consumers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted. It does not apply to third-party services or physical goods.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. The listed price includes value added tax at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No additional charges are made for delivery because the product is supplied digitally. Customers outside the United Kingdom may be responsible for any import duties or local taxes imposed by their own jurisdiction. anchorki reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation and Payment Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards processed through a secure third-party gateway. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of order details. All card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored on anchorki systems. Transactions are protected by industry-standard encryption. In the event of a payment failure the order will not be processed and the customer will be notified by email.
Order, Booking or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
Once payment is successfully authorised a confirmation email is sent containing order details and access instructions. The contract between the customer and anchorki is formed at the moment the confirmation email is dispatched. At this point the customer receives immediate access to the digital content. No physical delivery occurs.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 UK customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without giving a reason. Because the content is digital and access is granted immediately the customer must acknowledge that they lose the right to cancel once they begin downloading or streaming the materials. If cancellation is requested within the 14-day period and before substantial access has occurred a full refund will be provided.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available only where the customer has not commenced consumption of the digital content or where a technical fault prevents access despite repeated attempts. Refunds will not be granted after the 14-day period, after substantial use of the materials or where the customer simply changes their mind after beginning the course. Promotional or discounted purchases may carry additional restrictions clearly stated at the time of sale.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund the customer must email [email protected] within the applicable period. The message should include the order number, the date of purchase, the registered email address and a brief description of the reason. No telephone contact is accepted for refund requests. anchorki will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision
Upon receipt of a request anchorki will review access logs to confirm the extent of content usage. A decision will be communicated by email within ten working days. If approved the refund will be processed. If rejected the customer will receive a clear explanation and information about any remaining rights.
Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing normally takes between five and ten working days after approval, although the customer’s bank may require additional time to credit the account. No cash refunds or alternative payment methods are offered.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Course A is supplied as one-time digital access with no recurring subscription element. Once downloaded or streamed the content is considered used. Promotional bundles are subject to the same 14-day rule but with the same loss of cancellation right upon commencement of access. No separate subscription services are offered under this policy.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments result in automatic order cancellation. Duplicate charges detected by the payment gateway are investigated and corrected within five working days. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and investigated under the same criteria. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension and referral to the relevant authorities while preserving evidence as required by UK law.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Customers retain the right to pursue claims through the courts or alternative dispute resolution schemes operating in the United Kingdom.
